KTEN - March 26th, 2024: Pontotoc Technology Center in Ada has been selected as a recipient of $4.5 million in federal funds, divvied up from the fiscal year 2024 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development appropriations bill.

Oklahoma Rep. Tom Cole (R-District 4), who helped secure the funding for PTC, stopped by the school Tuesday morning to break the news to staff and students. "It's actually the largest appropriations bill of the year, about $1.2 trillion,” Cole said. “Most of it is defense, about 70 percent, but there's money set aside for special projects like construction and infrastructure, and Ada was able to win some of that money."
