Prerequisites for Full-Time Program Application

The following prerequisites do not apply to Practical Nursing, Paramedic or Fire Academy Training. These programs have separate admission procedures. See each program page for details. 

Admission into a full-time program is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the completion of all pre-application requirements, program seat availability, cumulative interview, and TAB/ACT score, etc. Pontotoc Technology Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, veteran status, or age in its programs and activities. Adult Students

BEFORE submitting an application perspective students must complete the following:

  1. Provide Renee Johns, PTC's Counselor, with a copy of your most recent (within the past 5 years) ACT score of 19 or higher OR Provide Mrs. Johns with verification of a passing score on the TABE assessment. Copies can be emailed to Renee Johns rjohns@pontotoctech.eduTo schedule your TABE exam please contact Brent Balch in the PTC Assessment Center at (580) 310-2271. 

  2. Interview with the program instructor. (Mrs. Johns will schedule the interview.)

  3. If accepted, you will receive a letter of acceptance in the mail.

  4. After receiving your acceptance letter, go online and fill out an application.

High School Students

BEFORE submitting an application perspective students must complete the following:
