Health Science Therapeutic Careers

This program is for high school students who are interested in nursing. The occupational outcomes is a long term care certified nursing aide that is qualified to work in long term care facilities. This program will also allow the completer the opportunity to gain advanced standing credit in a practical nurse program.

Health Care Technician

In this program, you will learn the basics of direct patient care and how to assist patients in their daily living as well as the skills you will need to care for patients in hospitals, clinics, doctors’ offices, assisted living facilities, home health and long-term care centers. Upon completion of the program, the student will master the skills needed to become a certified nursing assistant, a certified home health aide, a medication administration technician and a registered phlebotomist.

Registered Medical Assistant

Medical assistants are multi-skilled health professionals who work primarily in ambulatory settings such as medical offices and clinics. They perform clinical and administrative tasks and their duties vary by office or clinic. This program combines classroom, laboratory and work-site learning components to ensure that each student achieves entry-level competencies for the medical assistant. Students practice in a variety of settings as chosen by the instructor. Students completing this program will be eligible to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant exam.
