This program prepares you to enter the beauty industry as a licensed Cosmetologist. You will study the science of caring for the hair as well as the treatment of the skin and nails. You will practice these skills on clients in our on-campus salon and through our comprehensive curriculum. Cosmetology introduces students to the basic principles of cosmetology sciences and laws and properties of the hair, skin, and nails. Upon completion of your course of study, you will be prepared for the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology licensure exam.
This adult only program prepares students to become licensed cosmetologists who provide nail, skin, scalp, and hair care and composition to customers to help them enhance their personal appearance. Students receive classroom instruction and hands-on training in hair styling, cutting, coloring and chemical restructuring. Included are manicures/pedicures, facials, lash and brow tinting and arching, and scalp treatments along with customer service and shop management. To obtain state licensing, students must complete 1500 hours of instruction and pass the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology written and practical exams.

This program prepares high school students to become licensed cosmetologists who provide nail, skin, scalp and hair care and composition to customers to help them enhance their personal appearance. Students receive classroom instruction and hands-on training in hairstyling, cutting, coloring and chemical restructuring. Included are manicures/pedicures, facials, lash and brow tinting and arching, and scalp treatments along with customer service and shop management. To obtain state licensing, students must complete 1500 hours of instruction with 500 hours waived for high school students if high school courses are successfully completed and pass the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology written and practical exams.

To obtain state licensing, students must complete 1000 hours of instruction and pass the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology written and practical exams with 500 hours waived for students who have worked in a salon for two of the previous five years.
