Paramedic

Pontotoc Technology Center partners with Kiamichi Technology Center to offer a Paramedic Program via distance learning at the PTC campus. The Paramedic Program requires students to successfully complete the EMT and Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) prerequisites. The A&P course will be taught by distance education originating from the Kiamichi Technology Center.

- Enrollment Form
- Verification of Funding
- KeyTrain Assessment (above minimum scores)
- Learning Styles Assessment
Class begins in January.
Prerequisites:
- Must be 18 years of age to be certified
- Must take the Key Train and Learning Styles Assessments. (available through the Academic Center)
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass the EMT and A&P prerequisites before beginning the Paramedic course

- EMS Operations for the Paramedic (28 Hours)
- Paramedic Airway Management, Respiration & Artificial Ventilation (32 Hours)
- Paramedic Cardiovascular (180 Hours)
- Paramedic Clinical Preceptorship/Leadership (408 Hours)
- Paramedic Comprehensive Program Review (21 Hours)
- Paramedic Medicine (67 Hours)
- Paramedic Patient Assessment (25 Hours)
- Paramedic Preparatory/Pharmacology (134 Hours)
- Paramedic Trauma/Shock (105 Hours)
- Special Patient Populations for the Paramedic (90 Hours)
- Anatomy and Physiology (120 Hours)
