Pontotoc Technology Center Fire Training
Schedule
Firefighter I – 136 hours
Course provides basic knowledge and skills to successfully complete Fire Fighter I certification exam. This course is a combination of homework, classroom sessions, and practical sessions. Course is approved by OSU-FST.
Dates: September 21- October 11, 2010 Class Time: 8am to 5pm Monday - Friday Cost: $850 includes IFSAC Certification Test (Oct. 12) and Live Burn (Oct. 13) Free to Oklahoma Volunteer Firefighters
Firefighter I Live Burn
Course provides basic skills and knowledge to safely and effectively extinguish fires at the Fire Fighter I level. Course approved by OSU – FST.
Date: October 13, 2010 Time: 8am-5pm Cost: $150 or Free to Oklahoma Volunteer Firefighters Prerequisites: Meet training requirements of NFPA 1403, NFPA 1582 and physically fit.
Firefighter II - 40 hours
Provides advanced knowledge and skills to successfully complete Fire Fighter II certification exam. Fire Fighter II is a 40-hour program, with prerequisites of Firefighter I Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Vehicle Extrication and Flammable Liquids and Gases. LPG alone will not work.
Dates: October 25 – October29, 2010 Time: 8am-5pm Cost: call for pricing
